How Cargo Delivery Works in Ukraine: From Order to Delivery
Step 1: Order Placement and Planning
The delivery process begins when an order is placed — through a client portal, API integration with an ERP system, or by phone. The system determines the optimal route, vehicle type, delivery window, and required documentation. TMS automatically generates the route manifest and assigns the driver, minimizing manual intervention and planning errors.
Step 2: Cargo Intake and Warehouse Processing
The cargo arrives at the warehouse for receiving, quantity and quality verification. Every item is registered in WMS with its exact storage address. For temperature-sensitive goods, storage conditions are verified immediately upon arrival. Pakline Group operates warehouses in Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, as well as in Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv, with a combined area exceeding 69,000 m², enabling optimal regional coverage.
Step 3: Picking and Dispatch Preparation
Based on the order, WMS generates a picking task. The warehouse worker assembles the order following the route sequence, packs and labels it according to specifications. The system automatically verifies the assembled order matches the specification. Confirmed orders move to the dispatch area for vehicle loading.
Step 4: Transportation and Tracking
The driver receives the route assignment in the mobile app. From the moment of departure, the client can track the shipment in real time through the client portal. GPS monitoring enables immediate response to any route deviations or delays. With 87 long-haul vehicles and 158 address delivery units, over 40,000 trips are completed annually.
Step 5: Delivery and Confirmation
The driver delivers the cargo and records the recipient's electronic signature or photo confirmation in the app. Data syncs instantly to the central server. The client receives an automated delivery notification. If the recipient is unavailable, the system automatically schedules re-delivery or redirects to the nearest pickup point.
The 99% On-Time Rate: How It's Achieved
The 99% on-time delivery rate results from systematic effort: Microsoft Dynamics AX WMS for flawless warehouse management, TMS for optimal routing, GPS fleet control, and continuous KPI monitoring. Every deviation is recorded and analyzed to prevent recurrence — making reliability a system property, not chance. Address delivery.
